Haircuts 4 Hope
Lisa Jones is the founder of the non-profit organization, Haircuts 4 Hope, and The Barber Stop Evergreen. For the past decade, she has been providing essential haircuts to those in need at various locations, including homeless shelters, women's domestic violence shelters, orphanages, church events, and on the streets, often in challenging conditions. We use The Barber Stop's vehicles and equipment for these services.
To support our mission, We accept donations:
$25 for hygiene packs
$50-70 for gas to reach haircut locations
$50 for snacks during outreach
$100-500 to purchase essentials like socks, underwear, hats, gloves, sunscreen, clippers, and long johns.
Our vision includes converting a truck into a mobile barbershop, complete with hair-washing facilities and clothing provisions, which would cost around $50,000. Alternatively, they welcome truck donations and volunteer efforts to retrofit it, potentially reducing the cost to nothing.
Haircuts 4 Hope is gaining popularity and faces high demand, serving up to 20 people per week. We aspire to expand this ministry by establishing 4-6 mobile barbershops, each equipped with two stations and all the necessary tools for full makeovers, including hygiene packs, clothing, shoes, and snacks. Our ultimate goal is to meet the pressing needs they encounter, such as broken families, addiction, and despair. By providing haircuts and essential items, We aim to restore dignity and hope to those facing tough times and inspire positive life changes. Our mission is fueled by love and a commitment to support individuals in need, giving them the opportunity to feel good about themselves again and, hopefully, turn their lives around. With faith and determination, We seek to make a meaningful impact in our community.
